Ever come to the end of a movie and discover it has left you hanging with an unhappy ending?

Movies with unhappy endings never seem to sit right with us, everything about it just feels all wrong. Connecting with the main characters in a movie takes us on a short journey, experiencing a roller coaster of emotions as we share their triumphs, struggles, hardships and chaos.

After watching a movie with an unhappy ending, I've often said, "If I knew that it ended that way, I wouldn't have put myself through all that."
Understanding why most people agree reveals valuable real life lessons.

You've felt there is something important you are supposed to be doing, but can't quite remember what it is. You feel a deep sense of urgency to do it, sometimes it feels like you are late and fear you might be running out of time, you rush around doing things, hoping maybe by doing a lot, you will do that thing you were supposed to do... But still you feel a growing sense of panic inside, you know your important task remains undone and still you wonder, "What am I supposed to be doing?"

You probably even sensed that others are depending upon you to do whatever it is you were supposed to be doing. You wonder...."What happens if I don't do it?"
Scary possibilities race through your mind and you rush to do more things. Chances are that you've already tried to help others. Yes, because that feels right to you... It is part of your purpose to help and be of service to others, but still that's not all of it, it's more specific than that.

During an extended visit to the Red River Zoo's Wolf Exhibit the other day, only once did we observe the wolves approach the glass to interact with someone.

This young boy entered the wolf exhibit expressing his fear that they would eat him.

Just as the boy came close to the glass, a wolf seemed to notice him and approached the glass. Several quiet moments passed as they stared into each other's eyes.

This unexpected tender moment delivered a clear message to all who witnessed it.
The boy's fear appeared to melt away as he stood there, he realized the truth which stared all of us in the face.
