When someone holds back their tears & refuses to cry, they actually sentence a portion of their conscious awareness to experience this emotion unconsciously until they are ready to release it from the body.

By consciously refusing to face unpleasant emotions, a person systematically shuts down more and more of their own conscious awareness.

This explains why people have varying degrees of conscious awareness.

Something similar happens when someone experiences traumatic memory repression...

Ridiculous numbers of political mailings have indeed swayed my vote.

Whomever sends the most Dead Trees will definitely NOT get my vote!
