Mental Health Professional
~ Maronda Robertson, MS, LPCC, LAC, LADC~
Maronda worked as a Counselor for several years at Drake Counseling in Fargo.
In 2010, Maronda accepted a Counseling position at Minnesota State Community & Technical College, Moorhead campus.
Holistic Healer, Reiki Master Teacher
~ Jennifer Kruse, LMT CRMT ~
Jennifer has been providing professional Holistic & Alternative forms of Healing to the Fargo community since June 2000. The majority of the community have known Jennifer as a Licensed Massage Therapist, providing many other Holistic Healing modalities to her clients over the years.
Jennifer developed the Guided-Learning Technique
to assist her Reiki Students, but the technique proved to provide the same
results with others.

Maronda previously shared the following:
"Jennifer has a unique ability to teach her concepts of spirituality to any
denomination. Her unique twist is how that can be utilized to treat mental
health issues and also promote wellness and self-care for providers.
Jennifer developed a technique called Guided-Learning, for the purpose of
assisting her former Reiki students, if they requested more guidance.
Her combined techniques use a much different approach than anything I've seen
before.
I wondered about possible outcomes if given the opportunity to treat a
patient with a more severe and chronic mental illness diagnosis.
My client of about five years seemed a perfect candidate for a case study clinical trial. Client and family were anxious to find relief after more than
two decades of various in-patient and out-patient treatments, without
improvement."
Jennifer and Maronda both strongly believed this Guided-Learning Technique
had the potential to help patients who suffered from chronic mental illness.
Both volunteered their time to find out if they were right!
Without financial backing or funding of any kind, they began the
Clinical Case Study in November 2010.
After meeting just four times, in December 2010, this is what Maronda had to say:
"Already this research shows great potential. Client is showing marked
improvement in her anxiety and mental health issues. Client visibly appears
stronger, more peaceful, confident & positive than I've observed from her
before.
I look forward to supplying data to support the use of this Guided-Learning,
Reiki and Native American Spirituality-based healing to naturally help relieve
the symptoms of mental illness.
I'm even more excited about the possibilities of Jen's technique and therapeutic healing processes may give to help other clients with chronic mental illness." Maronda Robertson, MS, LPCC, LAC, LADC
