This marks the beginning of a series of Articles, each will be "A Holistic Look" at a specific disease, condition, person or situation.
This Article defines Holistic Medicine, what "A Holistic Look" means, how it helps to understand the problem and thus find possible solutions which may otherwise remain hidden.
I define "Holistic" as more of a "concept" which can be applied to any form of medicine or life situation. The Holistic Concept addresses ALL aspects of the person, problem or situation. Looking at a person in this Holistic way, we may identify what caused the problem at hand, peeling back the layers until we can't find anything more hidden underneath. In my practice, I've learned that 99.9% of the time, where it hurts is NEVER the same location which caused the problem. Their eyes are penetrating, able to look very deeply and SEE MORE. My Mother is a member of the Red Lake Band of Ojibwe Indians. Having Eagle Eyes makes sense, because I am Eagle Clan!
