It must be the latest craze to sweep the nation, because everyone seems to have it or closely know someone who does!
I've taken a long hard "Holistic Look" at Bipolar Disorder. Will you see what I see?
When we LOOK AT THE WHOLE PERSON, bipolar disorder becomes a simple thing to understand.
Are You Ready to find Relief???
I've noticed that when someone gets a "disorder," it seems to become what's "trending now" in the charts of the majority.
Is it something that has just swept through the population like a contagious flu bug? I think not. There is another explanation here...
When something strikes me funny in the "I Wonder..." department, I start paying close attention to it, look at it from different angles & observe until it starts to make sense.
I'm always looking to discover WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM?
Then, what caused that problem, etc.
Eventually when the original cause is identified, it may then be addressed.
Holistic means to treat the person as a WHOLE PERSON:
Treating their Mind, Emotions, Body & Spirit.
I visited each of these areas to look at Bipolar Disorder.
Observing someone with Bipolar Disorder is like watching a game of Ping Pong.
The farther they Ping this way, they Pong the opposite direction equally as far.
All people have a duality to them, don't they?
Yes, I believe duality is a natural state within a human.
Bipolar Disorder identifies those who Ping too far to the right, followed by a matching Pong too far to the left.
There will always be balance within, I see this is a result of that balance.
Bipolar = extreme opposites.
Holistically Looking to identify a possible pattern... Found it!
We live in a Bipolar Society...
Democrat vs Republican
Man vs Woman
Good vs Evil
Night vs Day
Hot vs Cold
Love vs Hate
If a person is Ping Ponging out into the extremes, then my question is:
Where is the MIDDLE ROAD?
In my opinion...
Bipolar disorder is a Spiritual Imbalance.
People must embrace and accept their darker side (past mistakes) and learn from it.
When they reject their dark side and try ever so hard to be "good," we begin to see the PING.... which will only last so long before they give into the matching PONG.
However "good" they had been in the PING, will be how "bad" they are in the PONG.
As they snap out of the PONG...
They feel really bad about the things they just did.
They vow to be even more "good" from now on... resulting in a more extreme PING.
Eventually, they PONG again. Each time, this seems to get a little worse until they eventually are diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.
Question: Why can't they just "be good?"
Answer: Because nobody is ALL Good or ALL Bad.
Duality is a natural state of being!
The trick is to Ping and Pong as close to the center as possible!

Balance is the normal state of being.
If there is an extreme shift to one side, the opposite extreme will eventually follow.
What is needed to help the Bipolar Person?
FORGIVENESS and UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.
I've worked with patients who have been defined as Bipolar.
Looking deeply, here's what I saw:
1.) A desperate attempt at trying to be what they believed they must be
in order to be accepted & loved by others.
2.) They rejected their own past, judging it as "BAD." In doing so, they
also rejected SELF.
What they needed to do was EMBRACE THEIR PAST MISTAKES as part of a valuable LEARNING PROCESS, which will enable them to do GREAT THINGS with the wisdom they have gained from their mistakes.
They should be ENCOURAGED by all others around them,
encouraged and lifted up!
The loved ones are usually TOO CLOSE to the situation.
They are people too, which means their feelings have probably been hurt by this game of PING PONG.
The Bipolar Disorder Patient cannot change the past hurts.
When loved ones hang onto the old hurts...
They are only RE-ENFORCING and STRENGTHENING the PING PONG BEHAVIOR!
The Bipolar individual and their loved ones may require the guidance of a Spiritual or Holistic Healer.
This "problem" will require all parties to ACCEPT that healing & great change is possible.
Is it possible to recover from Bipolar Disorder?
Absolutely!
But it's a chemical imbalance... how could a spiritual change fix that?
Answser: We create our own chemicals within our body.
Those chemicals are created by our emotions.
Addressing the spiritual component will also alter their emotions, affecting the chemical production within the person's brain.
This Healing Process involves learning true forgiveness and acceptance.
Forgiveness and Acceptance is what the Bipolar Disorder Patient has been
searching for, remember?
It's what fueled their game of PING PONG.
If the WHOLE GROUP of loved-ones is willing to learn true forgiveness and acceptance, the healing process becomes much easier!
Now that we understand WHAT CAUSED Bipolar Disorder...
We Can Eliminate It!
Bipolar Disorder does NOT have to last a lifetime.
